What are intensives?

Take your training to the next level during CKDA's four-day Summer Dance Training Intensive, August 10–13. Train with accomplished guest artists who are leaders in their disciplines and gain valuable insight from professionals with extensive performance, teaching, and industry experience. Each day focuses on a different dance style, giving dancers the opportunity to strengthen technique, expand versatility, and grow as confident, well-rounded performers. Open to current CKDA dancers and dancers from other studios with previous dance training or basic dance experience. Daily Schedule Monday – Hip Hop with Daniel Natal Guest Artist Bio Coming Soon. Tuesday – Modern with Vivian Corey Vivian Corey is an apprentice with Inlet Dance Theatre and holds degrees in Dance and Exercise Science from The Ohio State University. She teaches dance, Pilates, and group fitness while combining dance science and movement education to help students build strength, artistry, confidence, and a lifelong love of movement. Wednesday – Contemporary with Bobby Wesner Robert (Bobby) Wesner is a professional dancer, choreographer, educator, and co-founder of Neos Dance Theatre. He began his career with Ballet Arizona and has performed works by renowned choreographers including Daniel Ezralow, Moses Pendleton (MOMIX), Pilobolus, Paul Taylor, José Limón, and Antony Tudor. A respected artist and mentor, Bobby has dedicated his career to advancing dance throughout North Central Ohio while inspiring dancers to develop strong technique, artistry, creativity, and confidence. Thursday – Ballet with Regina Pietraroia Regina Pietraroia is the director of Dance Arts by Regina studios in Cleveland and North Royalton. A former professional dancer with several regional ballet companies, she has taught throughout the country and is dedicated to building community through dance while inspiring students to pursue excellence both in and out of the studio.
